25 minutes in and Ellon were a awarded a free kick on the right hand side of the pitch half way inside Colony Park’s half.
The cross reached the far post which was headed back across the goal only to be partially cleared to the edge of the box where Ellon’s number 8, Sam Harrison was waiting to strike a low right footed shot into the keepers left hand side to give Ellon the lead.
The remainder of the first half was a scrappy affair with no one really looking like scoring
HT 1-0
The second half started with Colony Park very much on the front foot and looking like the team to score.
15 minutes into the second half some good work down the left wing saw a cross come over to the edge of the 6 yard box which due duly tucked away by the Colony Park forward. 1-1.
From then on both teams created chances but it was Colony Park who eventually took one of them with 10 minutes to go to take the lead 2-1.
