Banff Castle Rocks success has organisers looking at possibility of bringing it back next year
A sell-out music festival’s resounding success has organisers looking at the possibility of bringing it back next year.
The historic Banff Castle reverberated with music and community spirit in the sunshine with the Banff Castle Rocks event.
The festival featured an eclectic lineup that included a headline performance by 1970s Scottish pop legends, the Bay City Rollers.
And with music fans across the country scrambling to get tickets for Oasis' reunion tour, those at Banff Castle Rocks were treated to the next best thing, with Definitely Oasis delivering a set that perfectly captured the essence of the iconic Manchester band.
The event also featured an Abba tribute duo, top Stereophonics tribute act The Phonics, along with local artists.
Event organiser Russell Aitchison said: “We are thrilled with how Banff Castle Rocks turned out. The support from the community was incredible, the weather was glorious and the feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive.
“It’s clear that there’s a real appetite for live music events in the region, and with the success of this year’s festival, we are looking at the possibility of bringing it back next year.”
Marketing director Mark Lenthall said: “The response from local people has been phenomenal. It’s thanks to their support that we were able to create such a memorable experience.
“Live events like this are vital for our region, not only for the entertainment they provide but also for the way they bring people together and support the local economy.”
