Overnight works on the A96 at Pitcaple are rescheduled

BEAR Scotland has advised drivers that overnight surfacing improvements planned for a section of the A96 in Pitcaple have been rescheduled.

The project had been programmed to get underway from Sunday, February 13 over five nights, however due to forecast adverse weather conditions for the remainder of the week, this project has been pushed back and will now begin on Wednesday, March 2.

All work is expected to be completed by 6am on Wednesday, March 9. No works will be carried out on Friday or Saturday nights.

Traffic management will remain the same as originally programmed, temporary traffic lights and a 10mph convoy system will be in place between 7pm and 6am.

The convoy system will be removed during the daytime, however due to the nature of works, the temporary traffic lights will remain in place.
