Coronavirus update: Daily case figures rise in NHS Grampian area and nationally





In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 5951 positive cases of coronavirus (5155 yesterday) which equates to 10.8 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 1462 cases and NHS Lothian 1186 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 462 cases while NHS Highland recorded 238 cases.

In the seven days to December 13 Aberdeenshire saw 919 cases (352.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 876 (382.4 per 100,000) and Moray 430 (449.3 per 100,000).

There were 18 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,366,439 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,983,975 people have received their second dose.

A further 2,313,843 have received a third dose or booster.
