Community: Upcoming events in Aberdeenshire





Turriff: Turriff Boys Brigade will host a coffee morning at St Andrew's Hall on Saturday, February 25 from 10am -noon.

Admission is £2.50 adults, £1.50 children.

Inverurie: Tickets are still available for the Sportsman Dinner in aid of Clan and Cycling Without Age Scotland (Inverurie) which takes place at the Hopeville Social Club, on Saturday March 4 at 7pm, with guests Peter Manley, Jim Leighton and Jock McInnes.

Tickets priced £35 include a three-course meal and can be obtained from Graham Watson.

Tarland: The annual Seed Swap and Potato Day event takes place on Saturday, February 25 at the McRobert Hall from 10am - 2pm.

Fruit and veg seed can be exchanged, with free seeds also available, and a wide variety of potato types will be on offer.

Entry is £2 with refreshments and children's activities available.

Kemnay: Kemnay Movie Night takes place at the Village Hall on Friday, February 24 at 7.30pm.

The film on show is Roma(15) set in Mexico in the 70s and winner of three Oscars in 2019- entry is by donation.

Turriff: Turriff Men's Shed will host a coffee morning at the Legion on Saturday, March 4 from 10am till noon.

Entry is £3 adults and £1 children.

Monymusk: Music@Monymusk is presenting The Thistle String Quartet in the village hall on Saturday, March 4 at 7pm.

The programme will be - String Quartet in C Major - J Haydn; String Quartet no 3 “Quartetto Piccolo” - D Hamilton; Faces - John De Simone; Three Idylls for String Quartet - Frank Bridge.

Maud: Maud and Savoch Church Soup and Sweet takes place on Monday, February 27 in the church hall from 11.30am - 2pm and entry is by donation.

Kintore: Kintore WJS Scouts fundraising concert for the trip to South Korea takes place at the Kintore Public Hall on Friday, February 24 at 7pm.

Maud: Maud Conversation Cafe takes place at the Old Mart Centre on Thursday, March 2 from 10am - noon and welcomes guest speaker Dawn James from the RSPB.

Ellon: Ellon Cinema at the Victoria Hall returns on Saturday, February 25 with showings of Puss in Boots (PG) at 10.30am and 1pm.

On Sunday, The Fabelmans (12A) is on at 6pm, with tickets from the usual outlets.

Kinellar: Kinellar Community Hall hosts BigDay Bonkers Bingo, a fun-fuelled night of bingo (obvs), dance offs, mad games and so much more on Friday, March 3 at 7pm.

Inverurie: The Grampian Postcard Club Fair returns to the Garioch Heritage Centre in Inverurie on Saturday, March 4.

Dealers from Ayrshire and East Lothian will join those from the north-east at the annual event, which runs from 10am to 4pm.

A wide variety of Aberdeenshire and North-East postcards will on offer as well as stamps, postal history, books and ephemera.

All the dealers can give free valuations and advice.

The centre's cafe and displays will be open during the day.

Admission is £1, with accompanied children free.
