An Army Cadet Force spokesman said: “The first to receive an award this year is Banff Cadet Brooke Wiseman who achieved her One Star Certificate. Congratulations and well done Brooke.”

The award recognises teamwork, personal skills and citizenship.

It provides some outline for the sorts of cadetting skills participants have learnt that can be transferred into the world of work.

It rewards the work they have done to reach this milestone and acts as a pathway to further awards.
