Vandals have wrecked the toilets at The Haughs in Turriff after they were just recently reopened.
Images show the seats and toilet roll dispensers were damaged, toilet roll was stuffed down the toilets and windows were smashed.
Turriff and District Community Council has made an appeal for anyone with information to contact the police.
It said on its social media page: “At our Community Council meeting last week an update on the opening of the toilets at The Haughs was asked for.
“They had been reopened but this weekend this is what happened!
“These toilets are badly needed for everyone who uses this area.
“If you have any information on who did this please contact the police.”
MP David Duguid said: “This is an absolute disgrace after so much work having been put in to making these facilities available to the public.
“Hopefully the new CCTV planned to be installed in coming weeks will help avoid this kind of thing in the future but, as so many have already commented, that just shouldn’t be necessary.
“This comes down to anti-social behaviour that must not be tolerated.
“Somebody out there knows who did this and I hope they are suitably ashamed.”
