SBP Accountants and Business Advisers (SBP), a north-east accountancy firm with offices in Banff, Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Aberdeen, has announced the final fundraising amount raised for AberNecessities as its Charity of the Year.

The company championed the cause from April 1, 2023, until March 31, 2024.

AberNecessities, a local charity dedicated to providing essential items to children and families in need, was chosen through a staff-driven process, highlighting the commitment of SBP employees to making a meaningful impact in their community.

SBP has raised an impressive £6961, along with collecting seven car boots of clothing donations. Additionally, SBP staff have generously volunteered their time to assist AberNecessities with various tasks, further strengthening the partnership.

Sandra Stephen, Stuart Beaton, and Stephen Glanas from SBP present the donation to Michelle Herd, Co-founder and CEO of AberNecessities.

SBP's fundraising initiatives have been both creative and successful, including events such as the Easter Bake Off, Kiltwalk participation, Birthday Ball, September Walkathon and Dress Down Days.

These efforts not only raise important funds but also promote awareness of AberNecessities' mission within the community.

In addition to financial contributions, SBP has facilitated physical donations by opening its offices as drop-off points and collaborating with remote businesses to accept donations.

Building a close relationship with the AberNecessities team has been key, with joint projects and collaborative efforts helping to further raise awareness and support for the charity.

Sandra Stephen, business development executive at SBP comments on the partnership: “SBP is proud to support AberNecessities and is committed to supporting a positive change in the community.

“Our partnership highlights our shared values and dedication to making a difference in the lives of those in need.”

Michelle Herd, co-founder and CEO at AberNecessities, expressed her gratitude, stating: “SBP's partnership with AberNecessities has been invaluable in our mission to support vulnerable families. We're thrilled to have SBP's support and look forward to the positive impact we'll create together.”

SBP added it is proud to support AberNecessities and looks forward to continuing its partnership to create positive change in the community.
