Further bridge repair work will close A97 Banff to Aberchirder road

Further repair work at Bachlaw Bridge will close the A97 Banff to Aberchirder road next week.

The repairs will be carried out by Aberdeenshire Council and it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply the restriction to traffic.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The closure will be from the Junction with U191 Colleonard Road to the junction with C22L.

It will last for five days commencing from Monday, May 13 from 9.30am-3.30pm each day.

An Aberdeenshire Council spokesman said: “The diversion will be via A97 to Banff to A98 to Portsoy to A95 to B9025 towards Aberchirder to A97 at Blacklaw and vice versa.”
