Road Policing officers in the north-east are appealing for information and witnesses following a two-vehicle crash on the A947 Oldmeldrum to Aberdeen road, which took place around 2.35pm on Sunday, March, 10.

The incident happened south of Whiterashes and involved a white Peugeot Partner and a brown Volkswagen Caddy.

As a result of the crash, the occupants of the Volkswagen – two men aged 39 and 71 – and the driver of the Peugeot – a 46-year-old man – were conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

The road was closed for around 10 hours, to allow for investigations to take place, and further enquiries remain ongoing.

Sergeant Sarah Ritchie, from the North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with those involved in this incident and I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene.

“Our enquiries are continuing and I urge anyone with information, who has not already spoken to police, to please call 101, quoting incident 1618 of 10 March, 2024.”
